 Timmy
Trumpet has a trumpet, through which air is blown and sound comes
out whilst house music is played in the background. If you didn’t
see him at this years GOOD VIBRATIONS, FIELDAYZE or FUTURE MUSIC
Festivals, you will have probably seen him at some random nightclub
wearing a wife beater singlet, a pair of thongs and a 2003 haircut.
Having recently returned from a Worldwide Tour with HED
KANDI, including performances at IBIZA’S PACHA (voted No2 best club
in the world, D.M.A.) and LONDON'S MINISTRY OF SOUND (No 3), Timmy
has stamped his name as arguably one of Sydney’s best dj side kicks.
Currently holding residencies at clubs such as Home, Tank
(DEFECTED), Dragon Fly, Sapphire Suite, Ruby Rabbit, Cherrijam, YU,
Plan B as well as Opera, Cruise and Cabana bars, Timmy has played
alongside some of the worlds most respected DJ’s including KASKADE,
ERIC MORILLO, SIMON DUNMORE, Soul Central, Bobby and Steve, Mark
Dynamix, The Stafford Bros, Hardsoul and Illya just to name a
few....
Supporting and playing alongside acts like SNEAKY SOUND
SYSTEM, Dirty Laundry, Martini Club and La Fiesta, he has become
somewhat of a drifter in this industry, yet to conform to the group
sound system ideology. Instead he has focused all his energy on
adapting to a variety of DJ’s and music, and generally dispersing
himself around with his dance floor whore wireless microphone. MARK
DYNAMIX has noted “When he's not fraternizing with young women and
posing for pictures, Timmy Trumpet plays a fucking good tune.” Timmy
Trumpet has noted “I don’t know how to put this but Timmy Trumpet is
kind of a big deal. People know him.” As well as blowing his own
trumpet, he has become skilled at the art of bongo hitting with two
hands, and developed various extracurricular percussion skills.
Other nicknames include Timmy Tambourine and Timmy Saxophone, for
those who don’t know the difference between a trumpet and a sax. I
know, but you’d be surprised….
2007 is set to be an even bigger year for Timmy, beginning
his 3rd Asia tour including performances in Korea, China and
Singapore. He plans to kick back on home turf for most of the year
to produce music for some of the house scenes biggest dance labels.
Whilst he is already featured on various HED KANDI compilation’s
including ATFC’s new single “New Day,” there is nothing quite like a
live improvised set over any respectable dj's and styles within the
house/electro scene!!
