As
one
of
the
leading
ladies
on
the
scene,
DJ
Alana
has
been
breaking
down
walls
since
she
started
spinning
in
2009.
A
lover
of
music
since
day
one,
she'd
practice
her
DJing
for
fun
at
the
club
she
worked
at.
"It
was
just
a
hobby",
says
Alana.
"I
never
wanted
to
do
it
as a
job
and
never
thought
you
could
actually
do
it
as a
career.
For
me
as a
DJ
it's
been
a
balance
of
playing
commercial
music,
remixes
and
a
sound
that
also
reflects
who
I
am.
I
love
watching
people
get
surprised
when
I
drop
a
track
they
wouldn't
expect."
Her
love
of
music
came
to
her
at a
young
age
listening
to
her
dad's
Michael
Jackson
tapes
on
repeat.
As a
teenager
she
developed
an
interest
in a
wide
range
of
genres
from
punk
rock,
hip
hop,
r&b
to
house
which
is
how
she
developed
her
current
DJ
style.
Her
many
major
influences
and
inspirations
are
Kaskade,
Deadmau5,
Armand
Van
Helden
&
David
Guetta.
