DJ Eko is by far Sydney's young gun to watch in terms of DJ’ing. Born and raised in Sydney, DJ Eko at only 21 years of age has achieved more than most in both battle and club scenes.  Eko started DJ’ing at the age of 16 and since has held residency's at Sydney's most noted clubs such as Cave, XXL, Hunter and Booty Bar. Not to mention the guests spots throughout Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Newcastle.

Eko picked up his trade with relative ease and not many helping hands. His rhythmic nature came from a drumming background which was his instrument of choice until he became aware of the turntable. A love affair was born.

His list of achievements exceeds his age having played or performed at some of the biggest events in Sydney.  At the Sydney leg of the Australian tour of Beat Fest, Eko played along side the likes of DJ Craze (3 times DMC WORLD Champion), DJ Roc Raida (X-ecutioners / DMC World Champion) and The Beatnuts (NYC). He also supported Naughty By Nature, one of the most influential Hip Hop groups of the 90’s, in their Australian tour. When Jin from the Ruff Ryders toured Australian, he chose Eko to be his DJ during the showcase at Fox Studios. He has also supported the Pharcyde (LA), Dj A-Trak (Canada) and DJ Vlad (NY), Cypress hill (LA), Nelly and the St. Lunatics (St.Luis).

In the Battle scene, Eko has made huge in roads in only 2 years of battling, coming in 2nd in his first battle, the NSW DMC, 1st in the ITF battle scratch category.  In his 2nd year of battling he took out the NSW DMC title and came runner-up in the Australian Championship, not a small feat in any means.  His defense will see him in a position that he is not too familiar with; but take note, DJ Eko is ready and willing to do whatever it takes to repeat and go one better in the years to come.   

If all of this was not enough, DJ Eko has now been signed to undaK-9 (under dog) as a recording artist and is Figg Kidd’s official DJ.
