Ask DJ Moto what makes him one of the country’s most respected DJs and his
answer is simply, “please ask the audience.” No boasting and no sign of
ego from one of hip-hop and R&B’s hardest working advocates whose career
has spanned the entire Pacific region. In the opinion of music industry
insiders, fellow DJs across all genres, and teenagers and clubgoers across
the nation, DJ Moto is renown for building the area’s hip-hop and R&B
scene into the force it is today.
Originally the mastermind behind
Sydney’s most quality urban DJ crew, the Club Joint Allstars (which also
included Elite artists DJ Gunz and DJ Tickelz), who set the pace for
today’s various local crews and commanded instant respect and attention
through their blazing turntable extravaganzas and hyped events, DJ Moto is
also co-owner of Anthem Records (Sydney and Auckland), one of the premier
vinyl specialist stores in the world. He is an honorary member of
Australia’s hottest Latin hip-hop crew ILA Familia, and has played
alongside artists including De La Soul, Ja Rule and Ashanti, Naughty By
Nature, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Brian McKnight, Rahsaan Patterson, Snoop
Dogg, P. Diddy, Xzibit, RZA, DJ Rectangle, Shortee Blitz, DJ Cash Money,
and many more.
Currently representing the Black
Label Crew, who have played every major Australian/New Zealand city, and
the Coast 2 Coast Jam Crew, where he is one of three DJs from Sydney,
Melbourne and Perth who blaze clubs across the country on a six turntable
show, Moto has showed time and again that his rare combination of
turntable skill, knowledge of music, and insight into giving the crowd
what it wants is unequalled. His current sponsorships, including Champion,
Cyber Thief and And1, are testament to his respect within Australia and
his staying power. It is one thing to read about his achievements and
passion; it is another to see him live. So do yourself a favour and make
sure you check out why DJ Moto is still fresh and exciting and sought
after to this day.
DJ Moto can be
