DJ Elroy

Sydney DJ Elroy has been DJ’ing for eleven years. He started at thirteen years old with a passion for Hip- Hop and Techno, playing at U18 raves and dance parties including Utopia and Stomp @ The Wild turkey bar. He then started his own radio show at fifteen on 99.3 New Wave FM called Forward Motion. He soon discovered new sounds and variations including breaks, Drum and Bass, Garage and 2 Step.

Elroy went on playing at raves throughout 1996 and 98’. Contracted to Australian Night Club Services Elroy played at Clubs and Pubs throughout the Sydney CBD, Inner west and North Shore. He learnt how to read the dance floor and give the crowd exactly what they wanted..

Through out that time he has secured residencies at some of Sydney’s biggest clubs Sublime @ home , Sounds on Sunday @ Greenwood hotel and played major events supporting the likes of Sasha , Carl Cox , DJ hyper ,Freq Nasty, Skool of thought and Ed solo , Kenny Ken & Mc Skibbade , Barry Ashworth ( aka Dub Pistols ) , Meat Katie , Layo & Bushwacka , Cypress Hill , and many more.

Elroy also began putting on his own parties some of which included Age of Love, Hyperspeed and Science and Most recently has just started his new club night SWITCH at Space Night club in Sydney.

Remixing for Central Station records Elroy has remixed Alex K - The Beat Pounds and Glaubitz & Roc - Sunshine Day which has been released on Tinted records and is currently being used for Channel Ten Spot logo Ad breaks. Elroy’s remix of this track reached number 1 on the Australian Aria chart for several weeks and has Just recently Completed a Remix for Famous Jazz Musician Paul Graboski and World Renowed Trumpet Player Branford Marcarlis

He is now producing a hip hop EP for Sydney’s MC, Losty. The EP and LP are being released independently by Warner Chappell and will be out by November this year. With touring of the CD to commence as soon as the 1st EP is finished. Most Recently Elroy signed a publishing Deal with Warner Chappell as a song writer working on various projects and with individual Artists

Warner Music has asked Elroy to compile a mix breaks CD for them, called “essential breaks” a double CD with DJ Phill Ransom from Melbourne, which will be released on Jan 13th Elroy will be Mixing another DJ compilation for Beat-fix @ home , which will come out not long after the Essential Breaks mix 

2003 brings new beginnings for Elroy with production and remixing under his belt

Spending time in the Studio producing and working on his artist Album, Elroy will soon be embarking on a national and international tour.
