DJ Matt Roberts

Matt started Djing 7 years ago, playing hip hop and rap a style of music that helped him learn the basics of Djing. Often his old rap and hip hop records still get spun as samples over songs so don’t be surprised to hear some old skool tunes during his set.

His style of music today can be described as a mix of funky house, party breaks and deep house. He is well recognised amongst Sydney clubs for his variety of acapella’s , scratching and chunky basslines in his sets.

He currently holds residencies at Sublime – Home Fridays, Congress – YU Saturdays, After Hours – YU Sundays where he is known for his happy energetic personality behind the decks. Matt is also regularly playing at Sounds On Sunday, Clovelly Hotel and many other bars as well as Djing in Terrigal and Wollongong.

In the last few years he has played at many major events supporting the likes of Kenny Dope Gonzalez, Steve “ Silk “ Hurley, Sneak, Chris Lum, Joey Negro, Duane Harden, Alistair Whitehead and Rhibosome.
