With
over 10 years experience Archie has risen to
being one of Australia’s top DJs. Earning
himself a solid following from early on, playing
clubs and gigs in his home town of Canberra,
Archie created a strong underground following by
creating a unique blend of production talent and
mixing skill. By playing numerous events in and
outside the party scene, he became one of the
most prominent movers and shakers in the
Australian dance industry. Originally starting
off in Canberra at the tender age of 12, he
began mixing & scratching Hip hop and eventually
moved on to dance music two years later which
instantly made him a permanent fixture in the
ever growing Canberra scene. During this time he
found himself playing a diverse range of styles
including Breaks, Funky house, Trance and even
Happy Hard, which was Archie’s ticket into the
Sydney party scene. Playing at gigs such as
Colossus supporting Capella at the Eastern Creek
Raceway, he continued to play large events like
Happy Valley, Nightbreed 2, 3 & 4 and Love
Nation @ Homebush.
Archie now resides in Sydney playing every week
at clubs such as Gas, Sounds on Sunday and
Icebox with regular spots at Home, Transmission
and various other events.
His trademark sound of Hard Trance and signature
scratches have continually seen him playing
alongside some of the biggest names in the
business including Judge Jules, Jam X & De Leon,
Tony De Vit, Timo Mass, De La Soul, Moby, Black
Eyed Peas, Plump DJs, St Germain, Freestylers,
Armin Van Burren, Paul Van Dyk, Fergie, Tall
Paul, Nick Sentience, DJ Heaven, Hennes & Cold,
Binary Finary, Ferry Corsten, Nu Idol, Darren
Styles, CJ Boland, Capella, Jimmy J & Cru-l-t,
Vinylgroover, Slipmatt, Jeremy Healey, Force
Mass Motion, Hybrid, Commander Tom, Mrs Woods,
Marc Luv dup, DJ Edge, DJ Misjah, Lucien Foort,
Ultrasonic, Dyewitness, Scott Bond, Darude, Marc
Dawn, Green Velvet, Billy Nasty, James Lavelle,
Luke Slater, LTJ Bukem, Roni Size, Sander
Kleinenberg, Luis Osbourne, Meat Katie, Doc

Remarkably, Archie also finds
time to participate in renowned Australian
electronic act Endorphin. Contributing a live
element to the group as a scratch DJ, he tours
constantly through out the country playing at
such gigs and Festivals as Homebake,
Gatecrasher, Moonlight Sounds, Delirium
Festival, the Adelaide Fringe plus most major
venues along the way. Alongside this, Archie
recently toured South America with the band to
play several shows with knock out reviews. The
purpose of this tour was to promote the last
Endorphin album “AM/PM”, which was released
through Sony and included an exclusive remix by
Archie, as well as several tracks that he
featured on. Archie’s remix of the single Sex &
Violence also made waves in the industry by
becoming opening track on renowned Australian DJ
Bexta’s Gold mixology of 2002.
Previous to joining Endorphin in
2000 he has kept up his ever growing interest in
producing his own material along with remixes
and collaborations with other artists and DJs.
Currently Archie is working on a few different
projects remixing Endorphin, producing both
Breaks and Trance and on the lookout for new
Aussie talent as the birth of his label “Wasabi
Recordings” comes to life. Above all this
he recently completed a series for the Lifestyle
channel on Foxtell, where he produced music and
the opening titles for this 27 show series,
which consequently is shown all around the
globe.
“ Archie
was up first. He truly is a talented dj who
continually works through his set by mixing it
up and scratching. He started off playing a
house set to warm up the club before banging out
some wicked beats that people were really
getting into. The dance floor was packed by the
time Archie had finished."
