Dave
Austin first hit the dance music scene back in
1998 as a DJ at Waves nightclub Wollongong belting
out tracks that now can only be described as
anthems. He then moved on to the infamous Oxford
St Dance scene in Sydney playing DCM, Liquid,
Lizard Lounge, NV, Rogues & Bay 33 to name a few.
From the djing side of his career there is very
few dance clubs he has not played Australia wide.
His career then steered towards music production
and now has an extensive vinyl, CD single &
compilation collection to his name.
Central station Records seized the opportunity to
sign Dave Austin to their Australian dance label
offcut Dinky Records which has exposed to the
world other producers like Nick Skitz, KCB & Alex
K. He also appeared on the WILD FM compilations
not to mentioned overseas labels and compilations
as well.
More recently Dave Austin has teamed up with Jimmy
Z to remix Bachata, a yet to be released track
from Lou Bega (mambo No.5) which is expected to
hit the Australian top 40. More recently Dave has
fully decked out his home studio in the aim to
attract the UK and European Scouse house and dance
markets with a massive interest building in his
tracks from 1998 – 2002 . Overseas record labels
are even doing represses on vinyl of tracks Dave
had produced 5 years earlier to meet the demand.
Some tunes to watch out for “DATS!! The Anthem” ,
“Flaunt It Remix” , “My Body Rock” , “Pakito –
Living On Video remix” & “Jack The Ripper” to name
a few.
As a DJ, Dave Austin is solid Hi Nrg hardstyling
uplifting perfectionist, and guarantees to whip
any dance environment into a frenzy, at the same
time not to mention a versatile entertainer to
play everything from commercial house right
through to electro. With 3 mixed cd compilations &
thousands of vinyl sales around the world, Dave
Austin is an asset to any nightclub and builds
huge fan bases at every venue he plays at through
his style.
